It had been almost a year since the last time that i actually got out on the course and it reminded me of why i love golf and hate it at the same time. It had the makings of a round of golf in the 80s or in the 120s but it ended right in the middle at 102 strokes, or +20 for the day.
It was a pretty fun day out in Riverside with Eric and his dad at Paradise Knolls (I had no idea anyone had the audacity to name something in Riverside “Paradise”) for 18 holes of golf. It was warm out and eventually hit 81° on the heat scale, and it felt great. The course was in decent shape, but the greens were probably aerated just a few weeks ago because there was still sand on the green and it hadn’t smoothed out completely yet. Some tee boxes were lacking good grass to hit off, the fairways had a few brown spots but overall a well maintained course, and it didn’t hurt that it was a good deal for $29, that included a hotdog and chips.
